1974 Rebel Enterprises, Inc Majority woman owned (Doris Boffone) A shore tankerman service Worked for National Marine Service, Inc. 1977 Liberty Towing Co., Inc. Majority woman owned (Doris Boffone. Jr. & Blanche Buffone) Purchased first vessel Worked for National Marine Service, Inc and Hollywood Marine, Inc. in the bunker business. 1978 Progressive Barge Line, Inc. Majority woman owned until 1996 (Doris Boffone. Jr. & Blanche Buffone) Purchased first barge Entered Bunker service in the port of NOLA contracted to British Petroleum. 1999 The goal of 100% double-skinned barge fleet is reached.
